International Day of Non-Violence - October 2nd October 2nd was Internationally celebrated as a day of Non-Violence. In June of 2007, the UN General Assembly made a resolution which established the day as an occasion to "disseminate the message of non-violence, including through education and public awareness". You can promote non-violence and awareness everyday in your community through artwork, blogging and making a commitment to encourage non-violence and tolerance. Education and awareness are essential to the promotion of international peace. |
