Our Year. Our Voice. In December 2009, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming 2010-2011 as the International Year of Youth. The year will commence on August 12, 2010 which is the International Youth Day and will actually coincide with the 25th anniversary of the first International Youth Year in 1985. World Youth Conference, Mexico 2010 The World Youth Conference 2010 aims to gather people from all over the world in Leon, Mexico from August 23-27, 2010 to identify and discuss action priorities on youth issues. In context of this year's theme, 'Dialogue and Mutual Understanding' the conference will reflect on the role of youth and their contribution in the past and how it can be furthur improved in the next few years.
