The world's premier student technology competition that challenges students to use technology to solve the world's toughest problems awaits your participation. World Day Against Child Labour To focus global attention on the urgent need to eradicate child labour, the International Labour Organization has designated June 12 as World Day Against Child Labour. In addition to being denied education, children who work are often victims of mistreatment, physical violence and psychological abuse. This June, check out TIG's Child Labour issue page for informative resources or make a commitment to avoid products created using Child Labour or simply share your opinion with other members on our discussion boards! |

World Summit Youth Award - Deadline is June 20, 2010! The World Summit Youth Award (WSYA) is inviting young designers, e-content creators, writers and bloggers from around the world to enter their online-project in an international multimedia competition. Winners will get a chance to showcase their platform to heads of state, business leaders and civil society at the 4-day WSYA Winners Event where the most committed and creative young people from around the world will be brought together in New York in September 2010. World Refugee Day About a third of refugees are people who have been forced to flee their countries due to civil wars and ethnic, tribal and religious violence. June 20 known as World Refugee Day is a salute to the spirit and courage of the world's many refugees, extending to them our encouragement, support and respect.
