Sprout is an e-course designed for aspiring social innovators and environmental entrepreneurs who want to grow their project ideas and learn to create lasting changes in their communities. Sprout allows participants to connect with experienced e-mentors of all ages who provide inter-generational support, encouragement and insight throughout the Sprout journey. Apply before March 14, 2010 if you want to be a participant or an e-mentor. Every Day Heroes Film Competition All filmmakers, young and old, established and aspiring, are invited to submit 90-second silent videos to the Every Day Heroes Film Competition. Tell the story of your every day environmental hero and their dedication to support of a healthier environment through the power of film. Finalists will have their videos screened in shopping malls across Canada, on the 270 monitors on the subway platforms of the Toronto Transit Commission, as well as hosted on Earth Day Canada's website and YouTube channel. Prizes will be awarded in four categories; best of under 18, best of 18 and over, people's choice awards, and best of competition. Submit your video before March 15, 2010 and inspire Canada this Earth Day. |

Get ready for Global Love Day! The Love Foundation invites people around the world to join together in celebrating the 7th annual Global Love Day with the theme 'Love Begins With Me' on May 1. In conjunction with Global Love Day, the foundation is hosting its annual Art, Essay, and Poetry Invitational where anyone may submit an original piece in one or more of the categories and the finalists from each category will receive a certificate award and their entries may be displayed on the website. Join people around the world in celebrating and expanding love. Be a part of it! |
