Obama and the Nobel Peace Prize
The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize was recently awarded to Barak Obama for "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples". He was nominated for the prize only 11 days into his presidency. How do you feel about this issue? Does this give him a mandate for change or change the value of the prize? Talk about the issue on our discussion forums.

One week until the International Day of Climate Action!
This December in Copenhagen, Denmark, delegates, NGOs, and businesses from every nation will meet to finalize a new global climate change agreement. It is crucial that decision-makers at this meeting understand and are held accountable to crafting policy that is informed by the most recent science: the science of 350. To ensure that world leaders get this message, 350.org is mobilizing millions of people across the globe. Join the most widespread day of environmental action in history, attend one of over 3,000 simultaneous events in more than 170 countries. Find an event in your area. Photographs of the actions featuring 350 can be entered into the Imprints Art Contest as part of TakingITGlobal's Tread Lightly climate change education initiative.

We wish you a wonderful week!

- Liam, Francisco, Sulmaz, Gina, Dennis and the entire TakingITGlobal Team!
