Please note that weekly TIGed virtual office hours will now be posted on this page rather than on the TIGed blog. We are also working on a new version of the TIGed Manual ... coming soon!

5th Microsoft Partners in Learning Regional Innovative Teachers
May 27 - 29 2009, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

From mid-April to mid-May approximately 100 students from the Asia Pacific region took part in an online dialogue on the TIG site about technology and innovation in education. Fifteen of the most active, engaged, and creative participants were invited to travel to Kuala Lumpur to take part in a parallel student conference, bringing youth voices to the conference for the first time! The students took part in various skills development and team building activities, and worked together in teams to develop innovative educational technology projects that they presented to the teachers. A member of each project group was sponsored to take Sprout, TIG's e-course designed for aspiring social innovators and environmental entrepreneurs, and share their learning with their group. Some of the groups were also selected to receive seed funding from Microsoft in order to help bring their ideas to fruition! To read about the students' experiences in Malaysia and beyond, please visit the group blog.
