Panorama's Animal Rights Issue
The Universal Declaration of Animal Rights was adopted by the United Nations in 1978, but many practices are still in place today which are considered cruel to animals. The next issue of Panorama will address our relationship with creatures and the effects that our daily actions have upon other species. How can we act to ensure our furry friends are treated fairly? Do humans have a responsibility to ensure sufficient habitat is protected to ensure the survival of other species? Have your voice heard around the world, submit your thoughts to the next issue of Panorama

World No Tobacco Day: May 31st
Tobacco is the second major cause of death in the world. About 5 million people die each year of tobacco related causes - this accounts for the death of one in ten adults worldwide. In recognition of World No Tobacco Day on May 31st , TIG invites you this to test your knowledge about tobacco with The Tobacco Card Game. Want to get involved in organizing against this deadly industry? Get involved with Volunteers Against Smoking and Tobacco.

Global Issue: Intercultural Dialogue
Culture describes the many ways in which human beings express themselves for the purposes of uniting with others, forming a group, defining an identity, and even for distinguishing themselves as unique. Being in an environment which is so diverse, we are able to connect with one another throughout the world. Find more information on our issue page for culture.

World Environment Day: June 5
June 5 is the World Environment Day. It is organized by The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) to raise awareness about the environment, to enhance political attention on environmental issues and remind people to take action! The theme for WED 2009 is 'Your Planet Needs You-UNite to Combat Climate Change'. It reflects the urgency for all nations to agree on a new deal at the crucial climate convention COP 15 meeting in Copenhagen some 180 days later and the links with overcoming poverty and improved management of forests.
