Fight Visual Pollution with Beautifulcity.ca The Beautiful City Billboard Fee will hold billboard advertisers accountable for their impact on public space via a charge on each billboard in the City of Toronto. Revenues are to be dedicated for art in the public sphere and enforcement of the rules set out in the bylaw. This approach is quite different from the plan implemented by Sao Paulo Brazil which saw an outright ban of billboards. Check out this video for more information, then take action by signing the petition, or have a look at the Beautiful City toolkit for tips on how to organize a creative political campaign in your city.
