Global Youth Service Day 2009 To celebrate Global Youth Service Day, April 24-26, 2009, youth around the world organized service projects to address the needs of their local communities. Through service, young people gain experience, networking opportunities and skills development; they also add their voices to the global youth movement and take concrete action towards making the world a better place. Apply for the Sprout E-course! Do you have an idea for a project that will change the world? Sprout provides young people aged 16 to 30 with project management and leadership skills while learning alongside other aspiring youth leaders. The United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development (GAID) presents a new forum for young people to showcase their experiences in using Information and Communication Technologies for community development projects. The GAID Committee will award innovators with creative and high impact projects with fellowships to attend The Forum on ICT and Innovation for Education on 10-12 June 2009 in Monterrey, Mexico. Join us by sharing examples and your vision of how ICTs are changing the world! If you submit your project by April 30th you could win a fellowship to attend the conference!
