Live Chat: "New Media and Intercultural Dialogue"
As a young person, do you feel you have a role in promoting cross cultural dialogue? Do you know how to harness the potential of new media (social networks, blogs, podcasts, videos, etc.) to promote dialogue between cultures and make your voice heard? Join TIG's Live Chat on 'New Media and Intercultural Dialogue' on November 29th (4-6 PM GMT) to share your perspectives about this important topic and to learn from our special guests and other TIG members more ways to use new media to promote dialogue among youth around world!

Our Voices, Our Climate: Global Gallery Contest!
TakingITGlobal wants YOU to speak out to international decision makers about how climate change is affecting your community - in a creative way of course! Submit a postcard design that illustrates what actions your government should take in hopes of building a sustainable future for us all. Contest winners will receive 30 postcards featuring their artwork as well as a webcam and the chance to create a video for TIG's homepage! Deadline for submissions is Tuesday, December 9th, 2008!

November 20: Universal Children's Day
Last Thursday marked a worldwide day created to promote ideals and objectives for the well being and welfare of children in the world. November 20th marks the day on which the Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, in 1959, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in 1989.
