October 10: World Mental Health Day This year marks 60 years of Global Mental Health Advocacy. The theme for 2008 is "Making Mental Health a Global Priority: Scaling up Services
through Citizen Advocacy and Action." The World Federation for Mental Health started the World Mental Health Day program in order to reduce stigma, increase access to treatment and bring awareness around the issue in your communities.
