Voice: TIG Members Being Heard by OECD TIG staffer Nick Yeo is in Slovenia this weekend representing TakingITGlobal at the Building Citizen Centred Policies & Services International Workshop. He is presenting the final report of the Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) e-consultations. Each e-consultation ran for 3 weeks and presented a number of thematic questions for young people to consider about youth participating and shaping public policies and services and their thoughts on their governments' response to climate change. Over 350 participants from over 75 countries participated in the e-consultations and their voices and opinions were enlightening, eye-opening and honest. Check out the full report!

Photo Contest: Shoot Nations, win a trip to Canada! Shoot Nations 2008 is coordinating a competition addressing the theme of 'Young People in a Changing Climate'. This is a worldwide competition for young photographers under the age of 24 and the winner will receive a trip to Canada to have their work exhibited as part of the World Youth Congress in Quebec, on International Youth Day. The competition closes Thursday 31st July at 6pm GMT. Participate now!

Writing Contest: NGO Innovation AIESEC, a TakingITGlobal partner, is hosting an international online essay writing contest. It aims to attract refreshing ideas and possible solutions to help non-profit/volunteer organizations become more sustainable. Organized by AIESEC Singapore at NTU, the contest is open to youth between 16 and 25 years old, and the winner of the contest will be awarded a cash prize of SGD 3,000 (runner-up prizes of 2,000 and 1,000).
