Global Dignity Day
On October 15th, Global Dignity Day was celebrated all over the world and TakingITGlobal played a key role in supporting the Canadian activities. With our partners at the Centre for Global Education, we organized a national video conference connecting schools coast-to-coast.
Our Executive Director Jennifer Corriero travelled to Arviat, Nunavut and organized a series of events and activities to promote inclusion and dignity with Daniel Kooveanatuk, our Nunavut Youth Engagement Coordinator. CBC published a great article showcasing the potential of this creative approach to fostering dignity in a place where more than 70% of youth do not complete their high school studies.
