Global Dignity Day
On Wednesday, October 17th, TakingITGlobal and TIGed took part in Global Dignity Day. With the help of video conferencing tools, an event on Parliament Hill in Ottawa was able to link over 1,200 students from across the Canada to share in the day's celebrations. Outside of Canada, TIG joined 350,000 students in over 50 countries to celebrate human dignity and to empower all those around us to live with mutual respect, tolerance and kindness.

Adobe Youth Voices Recruiting New Educators |

Are you an educator looking to integrate global perspectives and digital literacy into the classroom? Are you interested in learning how you can support youth development through artistic expression? TakingITGlobal is preparing to launch its fourth cycle of the Adobe Youth Voices program and would like to invite educators who work with youth aged 13-18 in under-served or at-risk communities to take part. The topics range from the environment to the fight against AIDS worldwide and are catered to meet the needs of middle-schoolers and high-schoolers. |

In the run-up to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 18) in Qatar this December 2012, the Voices4Climate Competition invites young people from all over the world to submit photos, videos, music videos, and podcasts that tell powerful climate change stories.
