What inspires you?

My work inspires me. I always like to achieve my goals in a safe and good way, which is the formula of “do no harm”

Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became aware and involved.

All issues around me matter to me, especially the youth and child issues. Somali youth and children are facing different challenges including education, health and poverty.

Since I am young it has effected me, and I have become aware of it more and more. In 2007 I began to involve myself with youth/child issues in Somalia. I have mobilized more youth to help me help the young generation not to engage in violence and war. I attended school at Plasma University http://www.plasmauniversity.net/ and then in 2010 I have succeed to Fund a youth organization called Youth For Somalia YFS (http://youthforsomalia.org/)

Now YFS is doing good work in Somalia and I still insist to continue helping the young generation in Somalia .

Share your perspectives on what makes a good leader.

My perspective in the leadership is that the leader has to have good characteristics like being a good man who respects his/her team and has the ability of problem solving and making decision in difficult situations with the consultation of the team.
