++ 2. Monthly Theme: Entrepreneurship ++
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine that you could create work for yourself that you truly enjoy while
not having to report to any boss. Still imagining? One way to make this dream a
reality is through the exciting possibility of starting your own business
(becoming an entrepreneur). If you do start a business, would you be socially
responsible? An ecological visionary? Bring a revolutionary product or service to
your community? Young people today will tell you that entrepreneurship is not just
about making a lot of money -- it's about creating sustainable and meaningful work
for themselves and others. TakingITGlobal invites you to familiarize yourself with
the many aspects of youth entrepreneurship, our Monthly Theme this November.

++ 3. Special Thanks to all e-Translators
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
This year, TIG has successfully launched the Russian, French and Spanish
versions of TIG. These accomplishments would not have been possible without the
ongoing help and commitment of volunteer e-translators. TIG wishes to express a
special thanks to all translators who have been contributing to the translation
of the TIG site, including its Monthly Theme pages.
French: Boris Bouquerel, Tahina Lantosoa Rabezanahary, Manel Jaziri, Sylvie
Niombo, Saira, and Youssoupha Gueye.
Spanish: Lizouli Millan, Luciana, Damian Profeta, and Ada Ruth Sandoval.
Russian: Yulia Vereshchagina, Zhenya Alexandrenkova, Sasha Markova, and Ivan
Ivanov.
Thank you!

++ 4. TIG Launch in Arabic ++
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TakingITGlobal continues to grow into a multilingual online community
that will allow young people across the globe to communicate in national/local
languages. After the successful launch of French, Spanish, and Russian versions
of TIG, we are approaching our next goal – TIG in Arabic, in early December
2004! Given that Arabic is the sixth most spoken language in the world and is
spoken in more than 25 countries, the Arabic version of TIG would connect
Arabic-speaking youth living in different parts of the world.
The translation of the TIG website into Arabic is part of TIG's new, larger
initiative in the region of the Middle East. We plan to continue relying on our
online volunteers who actively support TIG's activities and programs, and we have
a team of almost 40 online volunteers who have been enthusiastically translating
the site. The global team of e-translators lives in Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Tunisia,
Libya, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Australia,
United States, and Canada!
So, help us get ready for the launch by submitting articles, short stories,
and other writing pieces in Arabic to Panorama. If you are not a fan of writing,
then you can express yourself through art, in our Global Gallery. Your work will
be showcased on your respective Country Sites, just in time for the launch. You
can also submit events, projects, updates, and more – all in Arabic!
Otherwise, please contact Eman Ebed, TIG's Middle East Regional Coordinator,
at eman@takingitglobal.org for other ideas and/or suggestions.

++ 6. Global Gallery Contest: "A Dream Job" ++
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
When we are children most of us dream of becoming space explorers, police
officers, secret agents or firefighters. As adults not many of us will walk into
space or become James Bond: Some of us caught up in the hectic pace of times will
not even dream. This is your opportunity to remember the job you dreamt of as a
child, the job you dream of today, or is your job a dream? Submit an image that
represents your dream job to this month's contest!
The contest closes on the 29th of November.
